Fantastic visually but thin story and technically flawed
There's a lot to unpack here. What didn't go well was the portrayal of Jack's death. No person looks that perfect and good when they're suffering hypothermia. It's just plain badly executed. Secondly the whole thing about the gun in her coat was so silly. Also the sex scene in the car is just over the top. The things which worked really were were the casting. No one else could've portrayed Rose and Jack. Wonderful chemistry and the dialogue was brilliant. Visually the movie is at its best, absolutely breathtaking. There's lots of moments of humour like when Rose is trying to help Jack and she was to release him from the chains and he yells: I'll wait here. An ambitious project based on true events. But overall the movie went on for too long.
