Fun and thrilling zombie heist film
Directed by Zack Snyder and featuring an ensemble cast led by Dave Bautista, Army of the Dead is a zombie heist film that blends action, horror, and suspense.

The Story Set in a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas overrun by fast-moving zombies, the film follows a group of mercenaries who are tasked with retrieving a large sum of money from a casino vault before the city is nuked by the government. The team, led by Scott Ward (Bautista), must navigate the dangers of the zombie-infested city, including a newly evolved breed of intelligent alpha zombies.

What Works The film boasts impressive action sequences, with Snyder's signature slow-motion style adding a visual flair to the fights between the mercenaries and the zombies. The soundtrack complements the action well, and the introduction song sets the tone for the fast-paced adventure. The story, while not groundbreaking, is engaging enough to keep viewers invested in the characters' fates.

Overall Army of the Dead is a fun and thrilling zombie heist film with great action scenes and a decent story. If you're looking for a mindless popcorn flick with plenty of gore, this is a good option.

EDITING, paging editing, we need you.
I absolutely hate to give bad or even mediocre reviews, but it is important in this case. This movie could have been great a little bit horror comedy. Tig Notaro's character was the star as far as the comedy aspect goes. This movie is just entirely too long. 2 1/2 hours??? There are just far too many scenes that go nowhere since you can't even see what's going on because it's so dark they could've easily cut an hour out of this movie and possibly had a good film. The special computer effects are obviously impressive, but they're just just too few of them, yet we are inundated with scenes of talking, talking, talking and not in an interesting, informative, or enjoyable way. I really wanted to like this movie.
