    A grand scale vision
While watching this movie, you can feel the grand scale vision of the director. Helming such a grand story and executing it in a proper way is not an easy task.

The story is adapted from the book which is nicely adapted with details, the screenplay was also good but I think the songs could have been eliminated in the story as they felt unnecessary. The direction was strong and the performances by all the cast members were also strong. The runtime may be long but seeing the scale of movie, you won't blame the makers for it.

Overall, it was a nice movie which impresses you with the grand scale story and it's characters.

Period drama with a twisted story line, yet it misses something
Firstly the characters of the movie are very interesting as they all get a decent amount of screen time to explain their backgrounds and standing.

All actors have given a fantastic performances which makes you want to watch more of them. The script is good enough as it has a lot of twists which makes it unpredictable for the viewer.

Ashwariya Rai does justice to her role with the beauty and grace that she brings to her character.

The music is not that good at least not in Hindi, plus the dubbing is no that great as it can be seen clearly in some of the scenes where actors are missing the lip-syncing in the middle.

The action is decent enough along with costumes which needed to be more authentic compared to the big budget that they had.

The cinematography is beautiful along with the VFX used, overall a good movie which might even improve in the second volume.
