One star because Hollywood politics ruined it
The real racing team looked nothing like the Hollywood version in this movie but hey at least they got the look of the dog right. I'm surprised they didn't change the breed of the dog. So pathetic.

Wahlberg does a good job and the movie is okay if you just want a feel-good surface-level movie. It's more like a TV movie of the week so keep your expectations low.

I really wish Hollywood would just go away. The people who changed the look of the real team are just pure evil. They need to be called out for the garbage they are pulling. Do the internet search and see what the real team looked like and read "Arthur - The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home", the memoir written by Mikael Lindnord and Val Hudson. The movie is a Hollywood fake of the real story.

    Well... The Dog's a Hero
Finally got round to watching "Arthur the King" tonight. Pulling from my too massive to ever view 'em all collection, I had no idea what to expect and presumed it was going to be about King Arthur. So, of course I was imagining Mark Wahlberg in a Knights of the Round Table adventure of some sort. So when the movie began with a kayak race, something that interests me in no way, I wondered how we are going to get from here to Cornwall England and from now to over a thousand years ago. Thankfully neither was to be the case. Instead we go to the Dominican Republic in our own modern day. A much more promising prospect for the talents of Mark Wahlberg and the interests of Bacon. When I found out Arthur was a dog, I knew I'd be playing in my home court! And guess what. It's not about a kayak race! Arthur remains in the background early on but joins the cast in a rain storm and shortly he saves the lives of the whole team. Now, it's important to remember, I NEVER cry. The dog, of course, grips the hearts of the team he was running with and in the eventual appearance of the kayak race, that I had been dreading, he steals the show. The other important thing to remember is watch this movie! Try not to cry and let me know how you did.
