No way
This is the worst example of a Disney movie. Who the heck wouldn't want someone to remove their heartbreak? Literally the hero of the tale is trying to make hundreds of people feel awful because they might not be able to do things like learn to play a lute at 75 years old or be a better seamstress than anyone else. It's the weirdest story to present to children. I would pay good money to live in Rosas, and for everyone who decides that I missed the point of this movie please enlighten me on what the point even was besides showing off a new art style? The music is fairly bland, there's A LOT of autotune, and the best character is a goat. - rocksonb - 7 June 2024
Film Deserves More Grace!
This movie doesn't deserve the unreasonably low ratings. For a Disney 100th anniversary film, its theme and title makes sense and the music is pleasing to the ears and inspirational as most Disney scores tend to be. The actions of the characters, mainly Asha, show that anyone can make a change despite their circumstances and current capabilites. Believing in yourself and your dreams is the Disney status quo and the film displays this just fine, paying a good homage to what it's all about. It may not be a grandiose film as others expect it to be but it's definitely enjoyable for anyone who isn't looking for the perfect film.
