    An uplifting true story
Great movie. Great cast. Showed real challenges faced in life and how to take the good with the bad. Somewhat educational due to the fact I was unaware of how these types of surgeries were performed. Gave a perspective on how faith can guide you when life has its trying moments.

Had suspenseful, amusing and sad moments. The fact that it was based on a true story made it exciting. The actors and actresses were great and portraying their characters, even down to the blind girls. Watching the past of the main character work through his challenges to become a successful doctor was my favorite of the movie. I was hoping that in the end Lili would show up.

Beautiful story line and link so many layers of meanings of life together
A good movie to watch with your kids and family. Everybody feel something touched in their heard. I was moved by the follows,

    (1) Dr. Wong's journey begins with the deep emotional burden of his past. He harbors poignant memories: neighbors kindly looking out for each other, a neighbor who lost his sights due to work mistakes didn't complain fate but find great power in A Bing's erhu who was born blind, his forever lost and unknown-fate first love, starvation in youth, and harsh teenager time. These memories are both beautiful and tragic, haunting him as he faces a devastating reality-failing to save a little Indian girl. This failure shatters him, and in his lowest moment, he contemplates giving up. However, in a transformative scene, he lifts his head during a critical operation and successfully restores another girl's sight, symbolizing his important spiritual forgiveness to himself and the past that he couldn't change.

    (2) The film's true moment of transcendence occurs when the protagonist sees the Indian girl again in a church. Despite her blindness, she radiates happiness and peace, finding solace in her faith. This revelation helps him understand that many things are beyond his control but in the hands of a higher power. Accepting this, he learns to forgive himself and make peace with his past. He found God's redemption on him.

    (3) While some may view this film as a narrative of personal struggle, it delves much deeper layers. It explores the profound forces within a person's heart and memory, shaping their identity, responsibility, and beliefs. Through the intertwining of family bonds, friendships, love, mentorship, and supportive allies, Dr.wong undergoes a profound transformation. He reflects on his past, revises his understanding, and ultimately experiences a rebirth, embodying the intricate interplay of personal and communal influences that define a person's true character and sense of mission!

    Very positive and inspiring!
