Cyrano

A man ahead of his time, Cyrano de Bergerac dazzles whether with ferocious wordplay at a verbal joust or with brilliant swordplay in a duel. But, convinced that his appearance renders him unworthy of the love of a devoted friend, the luminous Roxanne, Cyrano has yet to declare his feelings for her—and Roxanne has fallen in love, at first sight, with Christian.

    Desert Island Pick
I'll watch at least once a year. Beautifully written, acted, filmed. Amazing cast. Beautiful to watch, even with no sound. A film like this was very brave in a culture that demands explosive everything. I fell in love with Dinklage in The Station Agent. There's a handful of actors I watch in anything. Dinklage is one, Morgan Freeman, Jessica Chastain, Sam Elliot, Forest Whitaker. He's cream of the crop and elevates anyone around him. Now curious to discover more about the writer, director. I hope Erica Schmidt writes more like this. And who knew that Dinklage could sing?!? Feeling motivated to see stage plays.

A gem I am lucky I stumbled upon
First I'll start by saying the acting, vocals, screenplay and production were stellar. I stumbled upon this randomly on Amazon prime and I grateful I did. It evoked every emotion in me perfectly and was a wonder to watch. The lead actress is stunningly talented and Peter Dinklage gives a phenomenal performance. I have the soundtrack on replay. I am personally looking forward to watching it again. I highly suggest watching this. To me it was a mixture of Le Mis and Moulin Rouge with hints of Shakespeare and I can't get enough. Even if you're not a musical fan, it's a great watch full of drama, battle and romance.
