    Beautiful colorful
When you just want to relax and go off to a little fantasy land this movie is perfect. Everything is so beautiful , the location , the decore. It seems like you are transported to a happy world. The people are kind , friendly , loving and the dog Hamish is adorable. I felt quite relaxed after watching it. It is very predictable which might not be a bad thing because sometimes you want the comfort of predictable , sometimes you want happy ending. Sometimes its good to see things being worked out especially during Christmas. The Christmas Magic does solve things get people together. Point is don't think too much , have a warm cup of tea and just enjoy the beautiful simple story.

    Expected to be offended......was not.
I was in the mood for a cheesy Christmas film and I'm Scottish so watched to see if I recognised any of the scenery. I expected to be offended at the usual Twee depiction of Scotland by Americans. And yes it was very twee, yes as expected some of the accents were bad. BUT I still really liked it, its warm hearted, charming and witty (and the dog is amazing!) Other reviews are slamming Brooke Shields performance but I thought she was sincere and funny. I thought the rest of the actors were great as well. Don't watch it of you don't like cheesy Christmas films, if you do you'll not be disappointed.
