    Stays true the genre
Investigation thriller are fun if done right and being it remake of a hit film, it makes the job easier for the makers. And here they got mostly everything right.

It is a story about missing girls and to fit the pieces into the puzzle to nab the culprit by the police officer.

The story takes no time in getting to the plot and that's the best way to go about it. Figuring out suspects to drawing conclusion it peels one layer after layer and raising suspicion on each suspect for viewers keeps you hooked to the story. The suspense element is maintained till the end and when it revealed it justifies the action and you are in for surprise.

What doesn't work is the love track between the leads and forgettable songs adding only to the runtime. Also, background score is jarring as it goes overboard at many places. Also, few developments are silly that you can't miss pointing out especially the whole scenes with Shilpa Shukla.

Rajkummar Rao has done a fabulous job as police officer. Sanya Malhotra is decent and has nothing much to perform and could be done by any other actress. All other cast members have given good support by their performances.

It is a solid investigation thriller to be watched and stays true to the genre. Not sure about original or this one is better, as I haven't watched original. But Hindi version surely can be given try, I enjoyed it. #pranureviews #HitTheFirstCase #HitTheFirstCaseReview.

    Recommended good thriller
This was a good surprise for me on a flight from Singapore to UK. Didn't know what to expect from this movie as the stars are unfamiliar to me. I don't often watch Indian movies, so had to read the subtitles quickly while watching the movie itself. It's all very doable and enjoyable. The subtitles were good quality too. Loved the acting - very believable. The pace is very good. Never had a dull moment. Whilst the mystery unfolds itself, I thought it was slightly far fetched and a bit too close to home but then a murder is never predictable. Loved the cast, good acting skills and the script. A recommended watch.
