I loved Do Revenge.
I loved Do Revenge. Honestly, one of the more underrated films. I don't really understand all of the negative reviews because I thought this was amazing. I've actually never really seen anything like this. Might not be the most original, but definitely the best executed. The pure complexity of the characters is absolutely mind-blowing, and they feel real and not at all scripted. Their motives and their pure hatred is written so well, it cannot be real. You will easily fall in love with the two main characters and cheer them on as they do their evil revenge. The dialogue was smooth and realistic, and the pacing was so on point. Random, but the costume design was amazing. Also, the ways they did revenge was cruel and perfectly executed. I wouldn't have thought of that, so it was really interesting to watch. The acting was spot on and the casting was just pure perfection I loved them and I wouldn't have casted anyone else for these roles. These actresses really added onto the role. I liked how they showed how hatred can really drive you to destroying you, your future, and others. And the best part of this movie were the plot twists. My god, it was so satisfying and jaw-dropping. I don't want to spoil anything about that, of course, but it came so out of nowhere that it was shocking. And the way they write the story is that it keeps taking unexpected turns that it's infuriating (in the best way possible) and keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Onto the more negative points: it's a bit stereotypical, the high school tropes and everything, and it's kind of annoying, but honestly, in my opinion, it adds to the movie even more. Also, the romance written between two characters (who I'm not going to name for the sake of this having no spoilers) was kind of cliche and rushed. I would've liked more screen time with them actually bonding rather than kissing and making out and arguing. It kind of came out of the blue, and I would've liked it if she ended up single. And also, this could've been a great teen movie, but there were some inappropriate scenes that were kinda not necessary? But I'm not complaining, it's fine by me. Anyways, to wrap this up, I really enjoyed this film, it will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time and it'll get you laughing, too. Mean Girls + Every 00's teen comedies = Do Revenge
First of all, when I first watched the official teaser of the movie I didn't had high expectations about it, because I thought it was gonna be exactly just like any other teen comedy movie. Eventually, it was better than what I had expected and I enjoyed it. The plot of the movie was kinda interesting, but not innovative because there are too many movies similar to this one. The storyline was well-written and well-explained, even though it was very simple and easy to understand. The characters were interesting, well-developed and very funny. The casting of the movie was very good and their acting was remarkable. In my opinion, it was a very funny movie and there were too many hilarious scenes. Also, there some unexpected moments during the movie, especially the plot twist about the "revenge" thing. Moreover, the cinematography and the soundtrack of the movie were both incredible. The opening scene was kinda unpredictable, satirical and promising. The ending scene was predictable, however I definitely enjoyed it. Overall, "Do Revenge" was an enjoyable film, funny, fast-paced and I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Last but not least, that movie definitely deserves a sequel.
