Beautiful & Blown Away!
Musicals are not my favorite but OH BOY this is beautiful.
The message in the lyrics have a beautiful and powerful msg. There is some comedy a long the way which it kept me smiling.
This would've been a nice Broadway show or even off Broadway for the Holiday Season.
In my opinion the characters were well chosen. I was able to see and feel the chemistry between Mary and Joseph.
The King Antonio Banderas and his son on screen are well matched. The director and producers casted every family and couple to the T

Lovely songs but cheap production...
I mean what could you really expect from a secular studio attempting to produce a "Christian" movie. The songs were delightful but the comedy went a bit over the top. It reminded me of a high school musical, disney-esque film which is nostalgic, in a way. However, it lacks the grandeur and higher production value I often hope for in said "Christian movies". The dialogue was cheapened in favor of being more digestible to Western audiences and less biblical. But no worries, they sang every five paces to make-up for it. I will say that it has a rewatchable quality and the kids may love it. Overall, the movie needed better dialogue, better character development, and more substance.
