    Unappealing looking movie
Visually this YA romance movie isn't appealing. The lead actor and actress are not suited to lead actor and actress of a YA movie. Both have rather ungainly features more suited to the best friends not the romantic leads. So it was hard to root for them. The dark lighting didn't help. The location scenery is not very picturesque either.

And what about the grown ups. Andie and Dylan ought to have dyed their grey hair and put on some makeup to look at least the best they could for their age. Instead they looked wizened and scruffy. They were both so attractive when younger and should still look OK. In this movie they look scary. Like a horror movie.

The story is mundane. Nice that she gets along with her step mother. Interesting character for screen which is her father is such a MCP. Kate Bosworth plays a tense new mom coping with a useless husband. She acted so stressed out but couldn't she just get some help for a short break. They were obviously not struggling financially.

    Not worth watching.

    A decent summer popcorn movie
A decent summer popcorn movie - overall it was pretty well done, just a bit predictable but that goes with the genre. We found the music to be substandard in some spots, and even distracting at points. It's not an earth shattering monumental film - just consider it to be a light easy-going filler kind of movie.
