    Cute movie
Lyle Lyle Crocodile is a 2022 Musical Comedy starring Javier Bardiem, Constance Wu and Shawn Mendes(singing only).

The story follows a failed Magician (Bardiem) who buys a crocodile at a local pet store due to its ability to sing. However when the magician sings and wants Lyle(the name of the crocodile) to sing, the crocodile gets into a panic attack and refuses to sing, leading the magician to abandon his crocodile.

Fast forward 18 months later and a new family move in and their son struggles to make friends at school and later meets Lyle(who doesn't talk only sings) and they later become friends. However Lyle's former owner returns and the young boy realises that the crocodile could soon be going back to the wild.

Will Lyle prove to the world that he can sing?. Overall it was a cute movie.

This cute movie gave me all the feels. You might even cry crocodile tears during the emotional and triumphant moments.
IN A NUTSHELL: If you're looking for a charming, family-friendly flick during the holidays, this one is it!

This cute musical movie is based on the children's book by Bernard Waber about a crocodile that lives in New York City. I've never read any of his books, so I was excited to learn about this endearing character.

The film was directed by both Josh Gordon and Will Speck. The screenplay was by Will Davies. And yes, you WILL hear the song "Crocodile Rock" by Elton John.

THINGS I LIKED: We get to see a humorous, musical side of Javier Bardem that we've never seen before! He looked like he was having a total blast in this role.

Breakout singing sensation Shawn Mendes voices Lyle.

Winslow Fegley does a great job as Josh.

I loved Constance Wu in Crazy, Rich Asians in 2018, so I'm happy to see her again in this. She can sing too!

Easter egg: You can see some of the illustrations from Bernard Waber's books on the stairway wall.

This is the kind of movie that puts a smile on your face the entire time you're watching it.

There's a positive energy to the humor and silly plot. We need more positive energy in this world!

The special effects that make Lyle and the cat real are impressive.

The musical numbers are infectious, memorable, and move the story forward perfectly. Click here for a link to the soundtrack of the movie!

New York City is one of the wonderful characters in the movie.

This cute movie gave me all the feels. You might even cry crocodile tears during the emotional and triumphant moments.

Keep watching during the final rolling credits for some cute animation.

Lyle is just so lovable. They've designed him to not be scary to little kids. Smart, right?

    THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE: It's pretty predictable.

It doesn't make sense that Lyle can sing but then becomes a mute. Then again, what I am saying? None of this was realistic. Ha ha Constance Wu was supposed to be a great cook and successful author of several cookbooks. I would have loved to see more of her food, especially since Lyle is a foodie.

TIPS FOR PARENTS: Gross burping Some "light" profanity It really is family-friendly.
