The Munsters

Lily is a typical 150-year-old lovelorn vampire who's looking for the man of her nightmares -- until she lays her eyes on Herman, a 7-foot-tall green experiment with a heart of gold. It's love at first shock as these two ghouls fall fangs over feet for each other in a Transylvanian romance. Unfortunately, it's not all smooth sailing in the cemetery as Lily's father has other plans for his beloved daughter's future, and they don't involve her new bumbling beau.

Haven't laughed this hard in ages
I don't get what the sad reviews are about.

If you're expecting another raw raunchy gore-fest, so typical of Zombie films. Then you're bound for disappointment.

    This is COMEDY.

Watching the previews on Hulu and Pluto TV streaming, we knew it was a winner.

How delightful to see something so opposite from Zombie's typical gore work. Best known for his string of gruesome features (House of the 1000 Corpses, Devil's Rejects, Lords of Salem etc.)

His first attempt in producing great comedy. We haven't laughed this hard in ages. Hello Mel Brooks meets the Wayans Bros.

Basically kicking off with in Transylvania's 'underground' rock arena ... 'entertainer' Hermann meeting - and falling for - the lovely Lily... How The Munster's got started. Essentially leaving the homeland for life in the States. And hopefully 'blend in' with American culture.

The tail end, paying homage to the classic '60s TV sitcom.

The stellar cast includes his wife Sherry Moon Zombie as Lily Munster in a role she's perfectly suited. Hermann, who's cornball humor at times fall flat. Paying perfect homage to the original TV Hermann, who at times annoyed the snot out of father-in-law Grandpaw. The remaining cast also don't disappoint.

A few faces I was vaguely familiar. But no-less wonderfully skilled actors in their respective roles, including Igor. And great cameo appearances from such legends as Elvira herself, Cassandra Knapp.

Excellent lighting, special effects, costuming, and script that flows as it's supposed to. Zombie has truly impressed with this turn of genre. Can't wait to see what his next comedy will be.

    Awful unfunny movie
Loved the original Munsters show re-runs and thought this would be fun to watch with my kid. It was awful and not at all funny not even to a child. Don't waste your time. This could have been so funny and nostalgic but is sadly just a disappointment.
