    So original!
Loved, LOVED this film. Didn't watch it for a year after it came out due to the bad reviews. Original, loved the cast with each person's back story. Good, clean movie.

The story was so rich and had enough to make you root for Kora. The fighting scene in the barn was amazing and something you can watch over and over.

Loved her relationship with Gunner. He is well casted for this role. He is the stable, humble one that surprises you more than once.

To see where Kora found each warrior to help her was backstory enough for me and I loved how that gave you a glimpse into their lived without giving away too much.

I don't care about a single thing happening on screen
What I personally could not shrug off when it came to this film was how forced everything felt in a way that the script did not seem revised properly. Nothing flowed and I did not care about a single thing happening before me, I can't feel towards characters who are written like Saturday morning cartoon characters.

The continuity between scenes makes it feel like you are watching all of a videogame's cut scenes in order without actually having played the game to get to know the world to fix this problem. I can picture Zack Snyder will fix this problem with his well known "just release a five hour long cut" which is a joke because who needs a full five hours to pull a simple story out of a hat.

I have nothing against Zack Snyder as a director in fact I think he is brilliant but his problem is that no matter how good of a director he is he cannot write to save his life. This is apparent in how his best films are all written by other people such as James Gunn. Then again I am not a fan of his overuse of slo-mo which makes his action scenes seem almost Bollywood-esque.

Overall no matter how much I want to enjoy it (which I do the world it is set in looks amazing) I can't due to its atrocious writing that rips off and overuses tropes from other franchises like Star Wars or Warhammer 40k.

(Gave it a cheeky two extra stars because I still feel it looks nice visually at times)
