    The hype isn't real
The city where I live they don't release indian/bollywood films in the cinemas. So I had to wait a long time to watch it on the internet.

Apart from the tsunami of hypes, I think this movie had a lot of potential to become a good one. The story had its' perks, the cast did their best to pull off the characters they were given to perform but I think the editing and screenplay ruined it.

As a serial film consumer I don't keep a lot of bollywood movies on my watchlist but since the social media went crazy over this one I had to really spend almost 3 hours to watch this one. And after finishing it I had just one thought in my mind. What went wrong that they couldn't make me feel connected to any characters in 3 hours? I didn't feel joy/sorrow/anger none whatsoever for any characters. They just appear on the screen and some died or went on to do something else. It's all just fun and games and gimmicks of how cool your favorite superstar looks on the screen. And that's IT.

4/10 just for the potential and gimmicks.

    Cringeworthy
I did myself the disservice of watching this movie. I watched it over several seatings, since it was impossible to digest this in one go. The story would seem unbelievable to a 2-year old. People going in and out of jail on an as needed basis, police showing up in a shooting situation in sleeveless bullet proof vests, verdict of life sentence being given within 2-3 months of the person being taken into police custody, and countless more situations like this. Red Chillies remains successful in its quest to churn out uber poor quality products. I used to be a Shah Rukh fan; not anymore seeing that he keeps assuming that the mass audience has an average IQ level of 20. Especially cringeworthy is SRK trying to play a 25-26 year old. Don't waste your time watching this, nothing remotely interesting or entertaining going on here.
