    Terrible
I gave it only 1 star because I can't give negative stars. This movie was awful, let me say this first though, I have no problem with the actors themselves, Tom Hopper I have a more liking to as I have seen him in more than I have Kat Graham but I didn't have a problem with her in Vampire Diaries. The characters however are god awful, the female lead (who I can't remember her name) straight up bullies and harasses the male lead who has every right to be at the villa more so than she does. I mean he was already there 24 hours before she was and I can only presumed booked before hand too since he was there for work and knew he had to go, plus he had been there for the previous 6 years too.

I thought the female lead was petty and entitled and just downright horrible, using someone's allergies like that to get what you want when you don't know how bad someone is allergic? That's not fair and that's bullying, that's not putting someone in "timeout" as she so called it.

She then changes the locks on him and when he attempts to get back into the villa she calls the cops to arrest him, he goes to jail, which in turn interferes with his job, (which could be a lie but I don't know) and that isn't fair, she claims he's wronged her when he hasn't, can't understand how this turn into a love story.

Granted he puts her journal notes on the wall and feeds her horse, which turned out to be mushrooms (but if I remember correctly horse is a normal cuisine in Europe) and she takes great offence to this as if he has done her more wrong than what she's done him but he hasn't. Here's an idea, if she used her head and used kindness like she tells her third graders this holiday would of gone a lot differently, he is also the person who apologises the most, she's only apologised once when she found out she almost had him fired but complains about him not having any compassion? How like she does?

He then gives up the villa to her and goes to a hotel, which personally I think should of been the other way around, she could of still done all the tourist things that include her unhealthy obsession to Romeo and Juliet, which in my opinion is one of the worst love stories.

Still she drags him about Verona saying that she will be his tour guide regardless of the fact that she's never been there before and all doing things that she wants to do around her obsession. And insisting on going to the vineyard that night with him, even though he's going for work because she doesn't want to miss out on a working vineyard- that she was never invited to in the first place.

There is no spark and no connection between the two characters. And top of everything else she completely kiboshed his business deal, which will ultimately again put him in hot water with his job. Then when the on and off again girlfriend (who grates on my nerves almost as much as the female lead does) tries to surprise the male lead at the villa the female lead leaves in a hurry after being polite (shocker who knew she could) and again, blames him for kind of breaking her heart (I completely understand why the ex boyfriend broke up with the female lead - very surprised he managed 4 years with her) it's exasperating this female character then her ex boyfriend shows up at the villa the next morning.

And her ex boyfriend (Brandon) just as obnoxious as she is expecting to get a walk in dinner table at the best restaurant in Verona - who do they think they are, do they put themselves on pedestals or something? I don't think when the four of them joined up for dinner it could of been any more awkward. Aside from the "like taking a shower and then putting on dirty underwear" comment from the male lead. The only comment from the female lead I can completely agree with through this entire movie is asking for another bottle of wine with a straw - anyone watching the movie would need it to get to the end.

And then she gets engaged or not so engaged I guess just as the male lead runs to her it's such a typical terrible romantic not so comedy - nor so romantic either if I'm being honest. It almost looks like the female lead used the male lead as a rebound and that's why she fell for him. She had just come from a long term relationship which she thought was going well and it got sprung on her that it wasn't working as well as she thought, him I'm not so sure about. I don't know if he was a bit of the same or just bored with the same on and off again scenario with someone that thought she was the best thing since sliced bread.

In the end they both meet up again, hurrah (very sarcastically written) one of the end quotes was "I think this would be a greater tragedy than Romeo and Juliet ever was" and he's absolutely right the movie was more tragic than the story of Romeo and Juliet. All in all my favourite character was the drunken Fiat 500 driver best guy in the film.

    Not a 7 rating below movie !!
Easy fun romantic comedy that's easy to watch.. Yes it's a bit cheesy at times, but still really enjoyed it.

As I a few characters short I fill this part with, The stunning scenes of Verona and amazing food and wines on show... plus the sound track I truly felt like I was back in Italy 🇮🇹 Then the romantic story of Romeo and Juliet Even tho I heard it a 100 times before it still felt fresh so how, Even felt a little tear at the end... 😅 I will be looking at holidays to Verona next thanks Netflix 🍻

Like I said at the start it's a Lite hearted romantic comedy that doesn't take its self seriously.
