Come and see the tv glow
I started to sob at a 40-minute mark and didn't stop till the end credits at which point I'd melted into wet incoherent hysteria and couldn't really do much of anything for the next 2-3 hours.

I can't do much of anything now, the next day after watching I Saw The Tv Glow, this movie clawed at the insecurities and traumas that I personally have and ripped a healthy chunk of me which fell out into the real world, yes, it definitely is a trans movie through and through but it's also a movie about a feeling of losing out on something that would make you a more authentic version of you, capable of not hanging in the backseat of your own life and becoming a main character of your own play. And nostalgia. And CRT screens.

I'm pretty sure that there also was cinematography and acting and music but it is hard to evaluate these things through a thick wool of tears, Jesus Christ this movie feels like a very personal and precise dig at me specifically, I guess due to its idiosyncratic nature it's not for everyone but I do believe that you, the person reading this, should at least give it a shot.

Also this movie features Fred Durst and a font from Buffy the Vampire Slayer so I have to give it a 10/10 (and never watch it again)

They advertised this as similar to twin peaks
Before I saw this I read numerous articles about it which were clearly bought and paid for advertising I see now Claims such as "if you love twin peaks this will be the greatest movie you see this year" , "David Lynch would be proud of this indie masterpiece"

Honestly he wouldn't watch more than ten mins of this. People confuse David Lynchs slow movies and scenes with nothing happening at all, which is exactly what this movie is.

I'm not going to put any spoilers in but my advice is, if you fell for the same articles I read, do yourself a favor and skip this.

An absolute waste of time. Plotless indie trash.
