    Seen it all before
    This is incredibly the sixth film in the long-running franchise, and unfortunately it's just as bland and derivative as the two that came before it. This one changes the backdrop to New York, but we saw all that decades ago in JASON TAKES MANHATTAN and there's nothing new to say here either. The cast is pretty big, populated by bright young things like Jenna Ortega, but they have very little to do in the scheme of things. The only link to the originals by now is Courtney Cox, who should perhaps think about retiring from the scene because she really isn't great. There's a lot of killing, of course, but it's all very passe and seen it all before, and the ending is as ridiculous as they come.

    Disappointed.
    Stop making Scream movies. I only watched this movie for Jack Champion. I can confidently say that the wattpad fanfictions are better than the actual movie that they are about. I could hardly take it, it was so bad. Absolutely dog water. Doggy doo-doo. As for Jack, I would let him stab me as many times as he'd like! It's a shame that this movie was a hard watch. But it wasn't the only thing hard... (I'm a female). Sorry. No, I'm not. Anyway! The blood, the gore, it was too much. And I NEVER say that. You can never have too much blood or gore... But this movie did. ALSO, it started off WAY too quick. The first murder happened within the first 15 minutes of the movie, if I'm not mistaken. Terrible. Can we not lean into the majesty of it? No. Apparently not. Jack is the only reason I gave the movie 5 stars. Otherwise, it would had gotten 0. Also, no hate to Jenna Ortega, but I hated her character. She was always whining. And it's like GROW UP! Get the therapy that you clearly need, dummy. Only enjoyable part was Jack Champion. And he's the only reason I will be watching the movie again. Even though it hurts my soul.
