The Mean One

The Mean One is a hairy, green-skinned grump in a Santa suit, living on a mountain high above the town of Newville, despising the holiday season. Young Cindy You-Know-Who, whose parents were butchered by The Mean One twenty Christmases earlier, is returning to town to seek closure… but is about to discover that this fiend with a heart two sizes to small is still quite eager to carve the roast beast.

Absolutely terrible, so much potential wasted, and for what? Sigh...
It only took about two minutes for me to dislike this film, it has a horrible opening, a crappy cast of characters, and even most of the kills are pretty lame. Plus the tone, URGHH, I HATED the tone for this film. Violent horror yes, but it's mixed in with stupid couldn't care less writing/acting. The grinch is the only thing that was somewhat likeable in this, but of course they avoid calling him that; because The Mean One is so much better! Ho Ho Ho

Seeing the Grinch's lair was kind of interesting, and the grinch himself looks pretty good; but there's very little to like in this.

If this was taken on by people with talent, and an interest in storytelling; it could've been much better. I can't believe how bad this is, lord have mercy on me.

    So much wasted potential
So: The concept of a Grinch horror movie is brilliant. And something that seems simple to write and cast. I felt like I was watching a fan film, the audio, cinematography, effects and even just writing in general is nothing but pathetic. The Grinch costume was surprisingly very good. And I know where the budget went for a camera so they used an iPhone 2 instead. And the Grinch is best looking person in the movie. I don't normally judge people on looks but about 97% of them are very hard to look at. Again the idea of a grinch horror movie is astounding but they ruined it very easily. I thought the first scene would be an interesting one from seeing the trailer, it was actual dog 💩. The best scene was the bar scene, but even that had bad cinematography.
