    Low key
The basic premise of this movie was plausible enough, and the characters believable. As events unfolded you felt "yes, that could happen". But the main weakness is that not enough happens. There is no real 'hook' that gets the viewer involved. This is strange because in the circumstances, almost any sub-plot could have been credibly introduced - especially with such a strong cast. Much time was spent on memory sequences, when I'd have preferred to understand more of their current predicament. Nonetheless, the movie still entertains, and gives food for thought. The cast play the various roles vey well.

    Should be good but isn't
A wasted use of a talented cast. Slow, unoriginal and excruciatingly dull. The script was stilted, rather than cleverly sparse. Even heavyweight actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch and, to a lesser extent, the brilliant Jodie Comer, seemed to struggle. The story never developed, and the relationships didn't seem strong enough for the viewer to care.

It was surprising to read that Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 88. They are normally spot-on.

One of those films you wish you hadn't invested time on.

Watched until the end in the hope that the film would get stronger- alas it was not to be. As much as it would like to be, 'A Quiet Place', this was not.
