Weird and not for everyone; but it's good!
If you're not into strange movies, just skip this one as it is quite strange. I'm glad I went in knowing nothing about it, though it was recommended to me as a "sci fi" movie and I don't thing it fits that genre. But I did enjoy the bizarre and original premise, and the feeling of not being quite sure where the movie was going at pretty much any point. And it's pretty accepted by now that Nicholas Cage is capable of the worst and the best performances; thankfully in this case it's the latter and he's doing a fantastic job here. Ultimately the movie will likely end in a way you don't expect, or even like, but it's worth the ride.

A Nicholas Cage dream turn into a nightmare
Dream Scenario is a great movie with such an interesting take on fame and how it can affect someone's life.

The performances are great, especially from Nicolas Cage as the protagonist, Paul Matthews, with him giving this performance of this man who life has changed in an instant by something he can't control and how he destroys himself and his family in the process.

The cinematography is also wonderful, especially during the dream sequence with it having this strange tone to it, but as Elvis the alien pointed out in his reviews, it can be unnecessary at times with the dream lighting still being there in the real life scenes. The editing is fine with the movie dragging a bit with some scenes lasting longer than they have too, but it was no big deal to me.

A big negative most critics had been the last 30 minutes with a bunch of influencers trying to sell this band called the Orion and using it to sell products and mixtapes in people's dreams, and honestly I don't see why people were made at that since it definitely ties together to the movie's message of fame and side effects that comes with it.

So it doesn't hard to believe that people will try to capitalize on fame and attention to anything seen as hip and cool, so it doesn't surprise me that a bunch of young influencers would be trying to use people's dreams to something very personal to each individual and bombard to sell a product or a sample of music.

Since famous people are known to do that, for example, TikTokers doing dances in public and ignoring people's in privacy.

Overall, Dream Scenario is a great movie and a nice commentary on fame and the side effects that come with it and how people will try to profit on anything new and the problems that come with it. I would certainly recommend if you want to watch a weird movie that will leave you with questions after watching.
