    Fantastic!
    What a fun movie!

    I very much enjoyed it.

    Pure entertainment through and through.

Great acting. I was familiar with some of the cast of actors.

The only thing was that it was historically inaccurate.

First and foremost, no Africans ever held high positions at the chateau in France. That was nonexistent.

Secondly, I would have loved that the costumes worn in the movie correlated with the time period this movie supposedly took place. The costumes were too modern of the time of the "Sun King."

Overall, this is a fun movie. A lot of action and if you like fantasy movies, I think you will enjoy it.

    I don't understand the hate
Was this movie the best of the year? No.

But it is an innocent and magical movie that i enjoy more than I thought. It has a unique feel that sets it a part from other era and fantasy films.

The acting is great and the writing is decent enough I didn't roll my eyes as with similar genre films.

It gave vibes of reading a classic story from when I was a young teen.

I recommend this movie to those who love princesses, mermaids, and love stories.

The dislike for it feels very skewed as if there needs to be some huge message portrayed. Sometimes it's nice to have a movie that is just innocent fun without "a message" being crammed down your throat.

Again: it's not an *amazing* film, but it is worth a watch for fantasy and love story viewers.
