Fantasy made with love by fans.
A film with few pretensions that had the misfortune of sharing the billboard with a blockbuster tank like Super Mario.

It has a basic but effective premise, simple and crude humor but it works. A good cast with excellent performances and that makes the film recommended.

The visual effects are good and you can see the love for the role in each of the scenes, you can see the hand of people who want the product to work and not be merely a low-ball movie.

Despite not being a box office success, it has worked very well in streaming which gives hope of having a second part, this time, I hope better than this one, which is happening but barely.

What audience was it made for?
To many diversity hires for the various roles, and it just didn't feel right in the games sprit.

So was this movie made for the mythical 'modern audience'?

I have played the game, and I was wondering who this movie was actually made for, it wasn't for me, and the casting made the movie feel disjointed.

Apart from the casting choice the effects were the movies saving grace, as was the sets that were key elements in the story, but not much stood out.

As a silly romp it was somewhat enjoyable, but it was so unlike the game by the diverse casting it felt flat at times, and I'll never watch it again.
