    Made on autopilot
A film every bit as bad as its two predecessors, which is no surprise as David Yates - who made all of the bad HARRY POTTER films - is still stuck behind the camera shooting them, like a bad smell that won't go away. This one's all about political battles with Grindelwald attempting to usurp power. Eddie Redmayne, complete with that intensely annoying fake rasping accent, barely features and is shoehorned in at every opportunity. Literally the only good thing here is that Depp's gone and replaced by the great Mads Mikkelsen, but even he can do little with the material. The plotting is convoluted, the huge cast full of dull characters, the comic relief embarrassing, the CGI inadequate. A film made on autopilot.

There is no good reason to watch this movie other than to be disappointed
This movie was a very disappointing addition to the Harry Potter franchise. As others have articulated the visual and special effects and are pretty cool but the story has less sensibility than a 2 year old eating sand.

Basically it feels more like a series of Instagram reals showcasing special effect apps for video editing than a movie with a consistent story. You will watch a scene, wonder what on earth is happening then repeat this for the entire film. In saying that, there is some very loose details from Dumbledoors past in Deathly hallows, it's just disappointing how vague and confusing the details are - mainly due to a lack of rationality in the characters emotions and decisions.
