    Disappointing
I really wanted to like this movie but it's to different, this is like a whole other movie with a little touch of Ghostbusters. This movie focuses to much on the family, the small town and the irritating autistic kid. I believe they added that to make the movie more interesting. Ghostbusters is suppose to be funny, exciting and a little bit scary. This movie is a total flop in my opinion. I really enjoyed Ghostbusters (2016) with Melissa McCarthy, but that movie got so much hate, I don't understand why? Was it because of the female characters or what?

I recommend to watch the originals and Ghostbusters 2016.

Missed 'the spirit' of Ghostbusters (a curse on the caster).
The reason the original films were so good, let's face it. It was the Bill Murray and Dan Ackroid show. You had outrageously great comedians who could carry any theme into greatness. You can put them in an army movie (stripes), get them to re live the same day over and over again (groundhog day), and you got a great film people be watching decades later.

Add in some exceptionally dull kids (yes stranger things was good); but a geeky loaner child walking about in their grandfathers seller for 45 minutes doesn't really carry the same weight or add the depth the old crew had. Add in Paul Rudd trying to be funny (on his own)...yawn.

'The Spirit' (lol) of ghostbusters is in the core make up of the film, carried by a group of great comedians. This is what the film lacked. They could have had the rock annd the small guy from jumanji with Ryan Reynolds. Will Farrell and that lot....would have been amazing. Add in the original crew for 10 minutes at the end...that would have been an amazing film, worthy of a watch every few years.

This film lacks pretty much everything. I did like seeing Winston being freaked out by Egon's ghost. The last 10 minutes were great, Zool back, nice. For that last 10 minutes I gave it a 4/10. I did enjoy that. The rest of the film was so awful I haven't seen it since the cinema and I am even reluctant to see the second. Somebody please tell the director that they have majorly missed the mark on this one and the film needs good funny actors as the heart and the ghostbuster plot around that; and we in for a ride.
