Might just be the worst Disney remake yet.
This Iger creative team (if they can be called that) is the absolute worst in decades. Mulan was boring, Dumbo was disturbing and boring too. Lady and the Tramp was stripped of its humor and mischievousness. The Little Mermaid changed for the sake of social change. The list goes on with only Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and the Jungle Book being decent remakes. Then this Pinocchio atrocity is developed and for the sake of people's pocketbooks, went right to Disney+. This movie is terrible and would deservedly flop in the theaters. Every original character from Pinocchio to Monstro are much worse than their cartoon originals. The new one's are completely unnecessary and just muck up the story. The question is how can Walt Disney serve up an amazing characters, a story, songs, and they mess it all up. It's like he gave them a map on a silver platter and they left on the trip without it. It's mind boggling how this mess was allowed to be made. Now they set their sights on Snow White. What a shame.

    An insult to the original!
After watching Pinocchio, within a few seconds I forgot what it was about. Although it may feature some good cgi, this movie is plain and has no great storyline at all. It featured unnecessary characters and scenes. Sabrina was absolutely useless. She did not need to be there. The movie kept zooming in on her broken leg and her dream to dance, however we never see any backstory of that, so that was totally unnecessary. The scene where Sabrina is on the dock and tells Pinocchio to come with her has absolutely no meaning at all and was just a waste of time, unless they are planning on a second movie, which will definitely not be on my watchlist. The storyline of the movie was so predictable, anyone could see it coming. In this movie we barley get to see the connection between Gepetto and Pinocchio so as a viewer we don't understand the reason Gepetto goes out of his way for Pinocchio. Normally when there is something wrong with a movie it is easily fixable and understandable, (like some cgi problems) however ultimately, in this movie, it's the entire storyline that needs fixing. Without a storyline there is no movie. This movie is just carried by the fact of it being nostalgic to viewers, and wasn't focused on the fact of it actually being a good movie. Overall, this movie had no storyline and I would definitely not recommend watching it as it will take 2 pointless hours, you will never get back.
