    I liked it a lot
I may a sucker for romantic movies, but this one just hit different. From the awkward I don't like you meeting, to the I love you ending and everything in between it was interesting, heartbreaking and heartfelt. There might be one inaccurate thing about a soldier being discharged over the fake marriage, but jail time and restitution is a real thing. I don't know what is up everyone's but about this movie, but is worth a watch for sure. I enjoyed the music and the characters songs based on her "fake" husband were heartbreaking and emotional. Hopefully this review is seen by a few people that enjoy an interesting romantic movie.

    Surprisingly classy love story
If you are thirsty for a well-rounded love/hate relationship, stimulating banter and refreshingly intelligent dialogue; you've stumbled on a gem.

This is a solid romance, with two personalities who are categorically perfect in their roles. I could not have asked for a better combination of depth, grit, sarcasm, anger, tragedy, forgiveness, and love. Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine both have extreme potential - much more than I imagined.

I was not convinced of the plot at first, however as it continues, this film coaxes you into the fantasy of a strange love and the possibilities it brings. I was drawn in by the raw anger, and defensiveness of both characters, and it took a moment to realize this was for real. They were so bona fide in capturing honest emotions, it was like being sucker punched, the sting of it on your face as you are lying in the dirt. The humiliation, and betrayal, the futility of it all - that was how I felt as I witnessed these two go at it time and time again. For this reason alone - 8 stars.

I haven't even begun to mention the music, which was amazing. I shed more than a few tears at the inspiring moments of loss, grief, and affection (about a dozen teary moments to be exact), and the emotions evoked by the indispensable musical score.

The plot was rich with the familiar estranged father side-plot, full of tension, and lack of acceptance. Another sub-plot included a villain, and another with lovable friends, and family. There was loss, tragedy, hope, and justice all mingled seamlessly.

In conclusion, if you're in a sappy romantic mood this movie is the perfect catharsis to satiate your romance cravings.
