Extraordinarily stupid plot, but somehow still watchable
Every since COVID hit and every single working brain left the Hollywood and only talentless, phone-tapping/swiping, with-parents living hacks called "producers" were left in it, who have no clue how the real world works because their life experiences are all limited to their bedroom and social media... Hollywood stopped making good movies. Completely stopped, not just started making less. Stopped. Occasionally, every few months, I gather mental strength to watch what I think has a potential to be an ok movie... this, with a "badass female lead" of course I didn't expect to be that, but I hoped to at least see nice PNW scenery (or Canadian as it usually where these PNW are filmed at), so I did get the scenery.

Among this beautifully scenery, threw a heavy blue filter unfold this idiotic story with idiotic characters, idiotic dialogue and everything else being idiotic...

Yet, somehow with all this idiocy cranked up to 11 your finger doesn't reach for a stop button. Mainly because you want to see if Hollywood can make you believe that a 70 y.o. Woman can fight like John Wick (and of course she can!).

If you need to kill 1.5hrs of your life in the most meaningless way, this will do.

If you actually want to watch at least a somewhat believable movie, this ain't it.

Overlong, tedious and rather absurd at times.
This was a time filler not a classic. Allison Janney was her usual steady self, but the rest of the cast were comatose. Considering that her daughter has been kidnapped by her sociopathic father the mother, Jurnee Smollett, seems almost disinterested. The other thing that irritated me was how much physical damage all the characters sustained. Get stabbed in the chest you just pack it with gauze and carry on as normal. Shot in the leg just hobble a little with barely any sign of pain. Just ludicrous.

This film could easily lose at least twenty-five minutes of screen time without anybody noticing. Even the end credits ran for eight minutes. I did like Jax the dog though, he gave a stellar performance.

I would look for something more interesting if I was honest.
