The things that made it fun are gone
Sadly, everything that made the Guardians fun and entertaining is mostly missing from this film.
To make it more painful it is replaced with a lot of gross, and unnecessarily creepy characters.
Star Lord has lost all of his fun humor and is a complete shell of himself. There is so much they could've done and so much missed opportunity with this film.
If you're watching the entire series, it's probably worth the watch just so you're kept up to speed on everything, but it will likely be the only time I ever watch it. Whereas I have watched the other ones many times and will continue re-watching them.

Checks all the boxes
This movie is incredibly entertaining- full of action, humor, and so much heart. You grow to love the characters throughout the trilogy as well as the other Marvel movies and that gives this film the ability to elicit a lot of emotion. I laughed, I cried, I cheered and rooted for the good guys and held my breath as they once again save the universe while they navigate their own feelings and relationships. It's fun, touching and inspiring. And being a big-budget film, the cinematography, costumes, acting, special effects, sound, etc are all top notch. I think it's a truly wonderful film that's also very re-watchable.
