I can't believe someone greenlit this
The story is ludicrous. It makes no sense whatsoever. Why keep Pegg alive? The motivation for the plot is weak at best. How did Warburton get away with making Pegg disappear in the first place? If he can make him disappear, why not kill him. The reason given is super weak. Then, why wouldn't Pegg just take the money and run at the end? He wanted to make them suffer publicly? Maybe, but lame.

The continuity is lacking and the directing of weird. There isn't much back story, even at the end when all is revealed. None of the characters are relatable, likeable, or sympathetic.

The only redeeming element is Simon Pegg's acting, which is stellar. It's a buoy in an ocean of crap.

    Skip this garbage.

    Amazing suspense/thriller blend
How did I miss this when it came out??

Half way through and it's almost 100% riveting, with the exception of the court room stuff, it just seems unnecessary.

I don't buy Lauren as a big time lawyer, she just doesn't seem old enough for that position(maybe she just looks young), whilst at the same time delivering all the dialog beautifully.

A (suspected) writing fail for her character would be in her going to her father's lawyer (who I'm assuming is in on knowing about Morgan and wanting to keep him hidden).

She should have gone to a different person, someone outside of those who might not want Morgan freed from being locked up

Also one flaw in dressing her, would any woman really go run through the woods dressed in high heels???? That just seems like a terrible footwear choice. (Further in to the movie now, seeing how close the underground bunker is from a different view, cmaybe it wasn't so bad for the footwear choice)

Simon Pegg absolutely NAILED the performance of a guy desperately imprisoned and only wanting freedom. The emotion conveyed by his physical.

Great choice of having Morgan look out from his room and you could see the absolute need to stay with the only space he's been for 30 years, and the choice of actually having your freedom.

********** Finished the movie, nice couple of plot twists at the end, only a bit let down that Harold wasn't in on the cover up, and the odd choice of him going on the plane ride to be killed.

Overall, very well shot, nearly perfect acting and capturing/projecting emotion with camera shots and audio.

It's been a long time since I've watched a movie like this, where it's the perfect blend of mystery, plot twist, violence, showing the reality of some situations as opposed to the highlight typical big screen moments of a situation.
