Great work done/lacks nesta's complete story
I enjoyed the Bob Marley One Love movie. It offered a glimpse into who Bob Marley was, but it didn't capture his essence completely. The film portrayed him as a figure of peace, yet it also showed his internal struggles to find peace himself, reflecting his complex and contradictory nature. Despite his imperfections, Marley spread messages of love, peace, and unity throughout Jamaica during a time of intense political violence, and his influence persists today. He managed to unite people through his music.

The movie also depicted Marley's travels to the United States and the UK, where he observed similar struggles to those in Jamaica. This recognition emphasized the global need for reggae. However, I felt the movie could have presented his story more coherently and authentically, incorporating significant events such as his performances in the United States, Africa, and other countries. This would have highlighted his interactions with diverse audiences and his profound global impact.

It would have been nice to see more of his time spent in America, as it significantly shaped him.

It would have been enriching to see the film illustrate the effects of the world when Marley spread his message through music. Today, his legacy has inspired countless artists across various genres and regions, including American, Hawaiian, Polynesian, Asian, African, and European musicians. Bob wanted every to sing reggae. On a side note I wish some people will think on this when they hear varying reggae bands.

The movie could have better showcased how Marley's music has influenced the world and what it meant to people then and now. This comprehensive portrayal would have honored Bob Marley's legacy in its entirety.

The actors and actresses did an incredible job with the accent, although I could tell most weren't Jamaican. Being a Jamaican myself, I think they did an incredible job with the mannerisms and just portraying being Jamaican. Although the story needed flow this made up for it. For those who could not understand the accents and Patois, I am sorry to tell you, but that is what made Bob Marley who he was. To be honest, it is not that hard to understand.

I hope this movie shows Jamaica artist today that music needs good message or it will just stay and die in Jamaica. So many countries now are singing reggae and us Jamaicans are proud being such a small island.

A crisp introduction to the life and music of Bob Marley...
I'd heard mixed things about this biopic, but we finally watched it the other night and I highly enjoyed it. I'm not a huge reggae aficionado but I do love the music and I went to a Ziggy Marley concert when I was in college many moons ago. I didn't know much about Bob Marley, other than his many classics (a few of which we listened to in a cool beach bar in Koh Lipe a few years ago). I loved that they used the Jamaican patois in the film, as it lent authenticity, and both the leads, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Lashana Lynch, were fantastic. I understand better now the difficult political and social environment in which he grew up and how that led to the messages in his music. If you're at all a lover of music, culture, or reggae, then definitely watch this. I've had his album "Legend" on repeat the past few days and it's been glorious.
