In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king
On an ordinary day, this would have been a decent movie which would have kept the family entertained from start to finish. And given the (lack of) quality in today's movies, that's saying a lot of the quality of the movie to begin with.

What I'm not sure about is the idea that this is Oscar worthy in wins and nominations. I didn't feel Will Smith was pushing his limits in becoming Richard and the movie didn't land well enough in the emotional and mind space to remotely regard it as special.

What's more likely here is given the drought of quality in the movie pipelines lately (thank you Marvel, Disney) - this is what we've been reduced to, passing off shiny surfaces for gems.

    WILL SMITH BAD.
I used to love Will Smith. Grew up watching The Fresh Prince, as that was awesome & so entertaining and light. And I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the Bad Boy's series of movies, they were action packed and full of brilliant comedy.

But after he did what he did to Chris Rock, I will NEVER EVER watch him, or anything I know he is a part of, EVER again.

I now totally despise Will Smith. Sad, but true. And I would never normally review something like this, but I feel compelled.

The fact that he wasn't dragged off stage by the authorities, after physically abusing Chris Rock for saying words, is absolutely disgusting.

I feel ashamed now whenever I see his face.
